One of the benefits of having a sister who does accounting/finance is that she can create a realistic budget for you. I guess I never realized that when you don’t account for every penny you spend, i.e. a starbucks trip, then your money goes faster. Alloting money to different spending “categories” such as entertainment, or in my case happy hours, makes it easier to track how much I give myself to spend a month on that specific category and to make sure I stay on target.

It’s also a stress-reliever, which I need as many of these days.
